In addition, She worked as a Mental Health worker affiliated with Vancouver Island Mental Health (VIMH) and Forward House Non-Profit Association from September 2002 until April 2013. During her time at Forward House, she specialized in adult mental illness and taught at various Vancouver Island Universities and Colleges as a special presenter on issues around mental health difficulties especially, stigma.

Deanna focuses on the areas of Body Image and Intuitive eating, she is determined to help women break the societal messages that keep women in the everlasting struggle with their bodies. Deanna is a Certified Body Positive facilitator for Treatment Centres, Certified Intuitive Eating Coach, and Certified Intuitive Eating Pros Skills Training. Aleigha Oberle is a Behavioural Interventionist from Vernon BC. Aleigha has experience working with those with a wide range of challenging behaviours and support needs. Aleigha has her own experience with recovering from an eating disorder that took over the majority of her childhood and teen years, Aleigha has been in recovery from her eating disorder for 3.5 years and lives aligned with the HAES training.
Aleigha is certified in SIVA, FOIPPA Foundations, Food Safety, Overdose Training, First Aid and CPR/AED Level C. Aleigha takes on a holistic approach to creating strong therapeutic relationships and safety with the clients she works with. Aleigha worked as a Behavioural Interventionist working with Children and Youth in Care and feels deeply honoured to support those she works with as they walk through some of the most challenging times in their life.
Lauren earned a Master’s in Counselling from City University of Seattle and is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC) and the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). During her internship with The Looking Glass Foundation, Lauren gained invaluable experience providing one-on-one support to individuals affected by eating disorders through their Bridge the Gap program. This meaningful learning experience deepened her understanding of therapeutic support for eating disorders and body image issues, equipping her with essential skills to assist clients on their healing journeys.
Lauren is passionate about body image and is dedicated to helping women access greater body acceptance and self-love. Our work together will be collaborative and tailored to meet you where you are, allowing you to move forward at your own pace. I work with clients navigating challenges related to body image and disordered eating, as well as those seeking support for life transitions, anxiety, depression, stress, identity, and self-esteem.
My practice focuses on identifying limiting beliefs, fostering self-compassion, and cultivating new ways of being. I take an integrative therapeutic approach that welcomes all parts of you into the healing process. My holistic method emphasizes the connection between mind, body, emotion, and spirit, while also considering the social, cultural, and familial influences that shape your unique story.
